- PM Modi laid the foundation stone of Maruti’s EV factory on 40th anniversary
- 18 thousand crore to 800 acres plant will be established
- 21 thousand people will get employment
Suzuki has completed 40 years in Haryana. On this occasion he company has announced setting two more plants one of which would be at Kharkhonda in Haryana while the other one would be at Hansalpur in Gujrat. With the announcement of thwese two plantsm the foundation stone of both these plants have been laid by the Prime Minister Narender Modi. The proposed plant in Gujrat would be manufacturing electric vehicle factory while in the Haryana plant the company would be manufacturing electric vehicles.
The company has announced an investement of Rs 10 thousand crores for EV plant. The company is looking forward to strart manufacturing the electric vehicle from 2025. Prime Minister Narender Modi, while speaking on the occasion said that the 40 years of success of Maruti Suzuki is a display of strong bonding between India and Japan. He said that India is moving towards electric vehicle very fast. Government is also supporting the movement by way of incentives to the industry. Modi said that there are 125 more Japanese companies in Gujarat in addition to Suzuki.T.Suzuki, MD Suzuki informed that the company setting up another company in India, named Suzuki research and development center India. The company would totally owned by Suzuki Japan. Maruti laid the foundation stone of its third plant in Haryana, that would be at Kharkonda in Sonipat The largest exporters of passenger car in Japan, the company would be investing 18,000 corres on this plant and would be spread over 800 acres. The Haryana plant would be started in two phases, the first one being scheduled in 2025 in which the manufacturing of passenger vehicles would be kicked off with a production of about 2.50 lacs annually. In the second phase the company would be expanding the operations that would be completed in 2028 iincreasing the manufacturing capacity to 10 lacs vehicles per year. The compnay is looking forrward to provide emplyoment to 21000 people. The total investment that company is looking forward would be about 18000 crores. In this grand ceremony Managing Director of Victora industries Mr Satender Singh Banga and Satbir Banga was also present there along with other industrilest. Mr SS Banga said, Maruti EV Factory would be proved to be an important milestone for Automobile sector in Haryana.
